Frequently asked questions
Combines
Tournaments are 'team-based' showcases and Combines are 'individual showcases'. Tournaments allow your independent, club or academy team to register to compete in a tournament style event against other club or academy teams. A Combine allows you to register to compete as an individual.
The goal for both events is the same: increased exposure and opportunity for furthering your soccer ambitions through access to training and trials, networking with coaches, scouts, agents, clubs and owners and learning through competition and match play!
Sigra Football evaluates athletes in competition with one another and looks at all aspects of fitness and football, including: technical skill, tactical awareness & decision-making, physical condition and assessment of motor functions related to soccer, coachability traits - attitude, resilience, effort, leadership & cooperation, and overall fit for the program, country or club team experience being offered.
Participants must bring their own soccer socks (these must be black - having more than 1 pair is recommended) along with shin guards (no exceptions) and cleats. Participants should also bring a re-fillable water bottle, change of clothing for break and rest periods, sunscreen, face towel, hat or other items as needed. Sigra Football will be providing every participant with a Combine team jersey and shorts that must be worn on both days of the Combine. Failure to bring appropriate shin guards will result in the registered athlete being sent home from the Combine, non-participation in the combine, and no refund of the combine fee should they fail to bring the necessary and required items.
Our biggest differentiator is placing emphasis on competition among athletes to foster development and showcase performances under pressure. We provide a full fitness assessment and Body Scan at the combine along with capturing a professional photo headshot of each athlete to include along with their profile.
We also set up each athlete with a profile on Stack Athlete by Captain U so they can interact and communicate directly with college coaches. We provide diverse activities to ensure we evaluate the entire athlete and give potential future schools or club teams the full picture of your value toward their program/club.
Standard benefits include full kit, healthy meals, social media & website exposure, action photos and additional opportunities to network with former pros, college & semi-pro/pro club staff, agents, scouts, academy directors and connect with providers and fellow peers to gain valuable experiences and knowledge as you progress toward your dream career. Finally, a connection to Sigra Football Group's Global Club network is an additional benefit of attending. We connect directly with the clubs and provide multiple opportunities for athletes attending our combines to experience training with our various European club partners. Join us and see the difference!
College athletes wishing to participate in a Combine should check with their school’s compliance officer and college coach to make sure that applying to the combine will not affect their college eligibility. Different governing bodies (NCAA, USPORTS, CCAA NAIA, JUCO, other) have different regulations and Sigra Football will not take any responsibility regarding your collegiate eligibility.
Full kit, healthy meals & snacks, fitness assessment & body scan, technical training and small-sided games, 2 full matches, athlete profile & professional photo headshot and the opportunity to work, connect with and learn from top coaches, trainers, club representatives, agents, scouts, academies and club owners.
