About Us
“Sigra” in Icelandic means “conquer” and “to gain mastery of." More than just a simple term, “Sigra” suggests the ideas of being quick, sure, ready and possessing the ability to overcome. This reflects the athlete and the ever-present need for an individual to strive for excellence. It is from this ancient concept that Sigra Football gets its name.

Sigra Football was built with a vision and a desire to provide the best environment for young, aspiring athletes to improve. Inspiring others to achieve excellence, keeping youth active, away from negative influences, working to raise awareness on societal issues and helping others less fortunate give these programs purpose.

Doing what makes you truly happy and working where you are most passionate and can find meaning, purpose and belonging are the most important facets of a 'career'.
Sigra Football was created out of this need to truly be happy and give others the opportunity to have those same experiences. Join us!

Our
Story

Our Mission
Striving for excellence is more than simply winning. It is centered on character development that is fostered through diligence, determination and resilience, all traits that are transferable to life outside of the beautiful game. Sigra Football aims to foster an environment for footballers where their individual efforts will help them develop skills necessary for a pathway to success. Whether it is to play for recreation, pursue a university or college scholarship, or compete at the professional level, our coaches and training methodology will allow each athlete to reach their maximum potential.
With all the offerings by Sigra Football, our goals are simple: First, to help grow, expand and develop the women's game locally and globally by creating strategic partnerships and promoting women and girls in sport. Second, to work with smaller, lower-tier clubs throughout the world to strengthen the base of the football pyramid and to help developing clubs and football nations grow, expand and improve.

Finally, unique to Sigra Football as well, our combined programming will assist us in achieving varied philanthropic initiatives, through which footballers will gain a unique appreciation for how the beautiful game can be used to better the lives of those less fortunate. Likewise, footballers will come away with a sample of the ancient ideal - ask for little and give plenty - a character trait with life-long reverberations.
